Delhi e-monitoring is an app launched by Delhi government. Main purpose of launching an app is to keep track of all ongoing and upcoming projects across the various departments of the Union Territory (UT).
Introduction
- Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) executes major road, flyover and building infrastructure projects in the UT.
- It has directed all chief engineers of road, maintenance, projects and flyover divisions to update data about projects on the PWD portal.
- This data will be linked to an e-monitoring app.
Regulating Authorities
- Chief Secretary of Delhi Naresh Kumar will monitor and inspect the app.
- Delhi PWD has also directed officials to appoint a nodal officer at the zonal office level to monitor the app and all issues related to the PWD web portal.
Conclusion
According to some PWD officials it has been observed that a lot of projects being implemented by the department are pending for update since long and no inspection is being done. Any data updated on the PWD portal will also get updated in this app. So, it will be very helpful to track real time progress of the project.
