Cancer District of India! A place where every household has at least one cancer patient.

Baghpat - located in western Uttar Pradesh, India is known as the Cancer District Of India.

This district has around 150 villages which has cancer.

This cancer is caused by the three rivers - Krishna, kali & Hindon flowing through the villages of Baghpat.

Industrial wastes from Sugar mills, paper factories and slaughterhouses pollute the water of the rivers.

And this polluted water directly or indirectly reaches the homes of the villagers.

The water of these three rivers which are flowing through the villages of Bhagpat contains - 75000 mg of suspended chemicals per ltr.
